POLICY WATCH

The rules change constantly. This page keeps up honestly.

Every entry below is source-linked to the official page and verified by a licensed RCIC before it's published. No rumours, no recycled WhatsApp forwards — the exact thing ghost agents exploit.

The engine checks these official sources every night between 12 and 3 a.m. ET and flags any change for review. A licensed RCIC verifies before anything is published here — the machine watches, the licence signs.

FEES

Permanent-residence government fees went up

IRCC raised PR costs: the Right of Permanent Residence Fee is now $600, and Express Entry processing is $990. Our fee ledger already reflects this — if someone quotes you the old numbers, they're working from a stale sheet.

FEES

Adult citizenship applications now cost $653 all-in

The federal citizenship fee for adults increased to $653 total (processing + right of citizenship). Minors are unchanged. Anyone quoting less is either out of date or leaving a line item out.

SCAM ALERT

The LMIA fee is the employer's — if you're asked to pay it, walk away

ESDC charges employers $1,000 per position for LMIA processing, and the employer cannot recover it from the worker. A recruiter or 'agent' asking the worker to cover the LMIA fee — or to pay for a job offer — is describing something illegal. That's not a fee, it's a flag.

STUDY

Study permits still need a provincial attestation letter (PAL)

Most study-permit applications require a PAL from the province before IRCC will look at the file, and provinces issue them against a capped allocation. Timing matters: an admission without a PAL strategy is half a plan. Our study service prices this coordination as the real work it is.

Where this page is going

Today, a licensed human reads the official pages and verifies every entry by hand. The data engine we're building watches those sources continuously — when IRCC changes a fee, a form, or a rule, it flags the change for RCIC review the same day. Same honest page, much faster signal.
